Old-fashioned tin-plate mechanical toys are still made in many countries, but cannot be sold in European toy shops because of their probable non-compliance with Toy Safety regulations as regards thickness and sharpness of metal and toxicity of paint. However there is still plenty of demand for them by adults keen to obtain examples of what is still available before it is too late: some are serious collectors while others simply want to enjoy reminders of their own childhood. For those wanting to start or enlarge a collection, or just buy we offer here an interesting selection.
